RailFest at Steamtown, Scranton Pa. September 5th 2009

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I updated this blog and the reason for that is because I'm focusing more on my other blog at http://blog.coasterfan.net/. Anyway, here is a new update to this blog.

This entry is about RailFest and La Fesat Italiana in Scranton Pa. on September 5th 2009. RailFest was as it seems to me a bit smaller this year but was still fun. I've noticed that RailFest at Steamtown seems to alternate from year to year to being big and being small. I think it was a little smaller this year but don't get me wrong, it's still fun if you're a train nut like me.

La Festa Italiana is always good if you like good Italian food like I do. This event along with Railfest come on the same weekend and both are a must. Check it out next year if you can.

Included in this entry is a video taken from Steamtown of the two operating steam locomotives and I think it's very cool plus a photo from La Festa Italiana. Make sure you click on the title link above to check out all of the photos of both events and make sure you check out my main site at http://www.coasterfan.org/

Enjoy and take care...Rob Mosley

Fun at Great Adventure and a Monster too!

Hello all,
Just wanted to let you know I visited Great Adventure in Jackson New Jersey on July 10th 2009. It was a very good time. The admission was cheap, they are giving really good deals right now on admission so take advantage of it. The atmosphere was good (i.e. not many people from ghettoville) but the line jumping really irritated me though. Food was still very expensive with the exception of Panda Chinese Restaurant which wasn't too bad. The safari was great if you're into nature like me. Kingda Ka was closed for repairs but El Toro (THE MONSTER) was open and it was AWESOME! Check out the video of it here in this entry. Skip over to http://www.coasterfan.net and click on the Coaster Gallery for all of the pictures. If you get the chance go to Great Adventure for a great adventure. Enjoy. Rob Mosley

Happy Independence Day Everyone

This may be a little late but Happy 4th of July everyone. I hope it was a safe one for all who were blowing off fireworks. For all you Patriots I have posted a video of the Finale here in my area at Kirby Park in Wilkes Barre Pa of the fireworks. Enjoy and click the title link above for more cool things on my site. One last thing. Music in the background was provided by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic. Very good classical music. Check them out NEPAPHIL.ORG

Steamtown Scranton Pa. May 31 2009

I was just sitting around here this rainy Father's Day and figured I may as well upload a new post. This current post is a little behind. It's actually from May 31 2009 but it's good anyway. It's about Steamtown in Scranton Pa. If you get a chance go there and take a ride on the trolley or their train that's steam engine powered. Don't forget to take a tour of the museum also.
I uploaded a few pictures and a video here. A couple shots of the trolley and a video of a freight train moving through the yard with all ALCO power! Check it out and enjoy. Rob Mosley

Walking with Dinosaurs at the Arena in Wilkes Barre Pa.

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I updated this free blog because I've been focusing more on my main blog connected to my website at http://www.coasterfan.net/ (.org also). I will still do an occasional update here though because this is a very good free service.

This update is about the Walking with Dinosaurs show they had at the Arena in Wilkes Barre Pa. on June 6 2009. It was a very cool show. If it comes near your part of the country you must see it. This is for Dinosaur fans (adults) and kids alike. Besides having huge dinosaurs it has a great storyline as well. Here in the entry you will find a picture and a video of the event. To see many more videos and pictures head over to http://www.coasterfan.org/

The videos will be on the main page and require Quick Time (you can get that free) and the photos can be found one of 3 ways by clicking 'Galleries' at the top of the page or 'Latest Gallery' in the middle or 'Non Coaster Gallery' on the left of the page. ENJOY! Rob Mosley

Most of you probably won't care about this but I thought it was interesting to see a bridge being built so that's why I posted them. More to come soon and I can't wait to get out to Hershey or Knoebels, even Dorney. Soon! Take Care..Rob Mosley

An update about my new blog and the future of my Godaddy blog. Click this title to listen to the podcast.

I just wanted to let everyone know that this will be my main blog from this point on. I will be dropping Godaddy because their tech support was giving me the runaround about why I had so many issues uploading videos longer than 1 min and 30 sec. Funny how a free service such as this turned out to be better than a paid service like Godaddy. It is what it is I guess. Check back for updates often as spring is almost here. Time to get out there and have fun. You will see Videocasts on here more often going forward into spring and summer. Also make sure you sign up on here and check my main page at http://www.coasterfan.org/ for updates in the photo galleries. Until next time, take care and enjoy the new blog. Rob Mosley

I don't usually mix politics into my blog but I had to on this subject.

Check out this interesting answer on Yedda

Yedda – People. Sharing. Knowledge.Terror Suspects

I think Bush had the right idea. Just think what happens in other countries. Some people who are kidnapped in the middle east are not interrogated, they are beheaded on tv after the terrorists get their information.

Fahrenheit at Hershey Park, August 2008

The name of the site is www.coasterfan.org so what better than to post a video of a very cool roller coaster. Check out Fahrenheit at Hershey. Awesome (!) is the word. How about a few construction photos from April 2008 also?

RailFest 2008, Altoona, Pa.

This post started off as test of my blog service with Blogger but it turned out to be a very nice service and what more could you want for free? It turned out to be better than GoDaddy's blog service which is a paid service. In turn I made this a 'real' post instead of a test.

Anyway, this video is from RailFest 2008 in Altoona Pa. It was taken by the RailRoaders Museum. You can check out photos from this event at http://www.coasterfan.org/ on the Non Coaster Gallery. Enjoy and check back often as there's more to come.
